Salem Electric surprised Myers Elementary last fall by arriving at the school with a wagon full of school supplies, backpacks, games, food and student prizes.
Myers has used many of the supplies as Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports rewards, and they have been popular with students. The school is using the wagon for its physical education program when teachers have activities outside.
Salem Electric doesn’t just support Myers. It put together wagons with supplies for the seven elementary schools and three middle schools in its service district. Along with Myers Elementary, these schools include:
Brush College, Chapman Hill, Cummings, Harritt, Kalapuya and Weddle elementary schools; Claggett Creek, Straub and Walker middle schools.
Salem Electric also partners with schools by supporting Jog-a-Thon fundraisers and by providing school mentors.
On behalf of all ten schools, we’d like to thank Salem Electric for all its support. Congratulations on being named Salem-Keizer’s Business Partner of the Month for March 2020!
