This is Ms. Adam's  sixth year as principal at Myers Elementary. Prior to her position at Myers she taught at Chapman Hill and Washington Elementary.

Mrs. Adams is a strong proponent for what is best for children. When she is not working with students and their families, she likes spending time their bulldogs, Maggie and Bo.

Myers Principal, Susan Adams, was nominated for the prestigious Crystal Apple Awards in 2007 and she received a Crystal Apple as a teacher at Chapman Hill.

Vice Principal: Mr. Wisner

Be involved to help your child succeed...

Do you want to be a hero to your child?  Here’s how:
·
Come to his/her school every chance you get.
·
If there’s a problem at school, don’t try to solve it alone.
·
Continue as above into middle and high school.

 Visit school

Research shows that children do better in school when parents participate.  You can attend school programs,  extracurricular activities, open houses and parent-teacher conferences to make a difference in your child’s success.

 Seek help

If your child has a problem, don’t try to solve it on your own.  Parents of successful students work with the school.  You can meet with the teacher and other school staff who have relevant expertise to help better serve your child.

 Stay involved

Parents need to stay involved in middle and high school when peer pressure mounts dramatically – and peer pressure is powerful.  National studies show that parent influence still usually outweighs peer pressure at this age.

For additional ideas on how to help your child succeed in school, contact your child’s teacher or visit these web sites:

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Myers participates in Escrip to support technology at our school at absolutely no cost to you. We have signed up to receive up to 4% of your purchases that you make at Safeway. It’s a very simple program that involves registering your Safeway card number on the escrip.com site. You can find your Safeway card number, which can be done by calling 1-877-723-3929 and choosing the update option. This costs you nothing, but it is very important to students at Myers Elementary. I would also like to thank you for your continued support.

                                                     Sincerely,

                                                      Susan Adams, Principal
