This is Ms. Adam's sixth year as principal at Myers Elementary. Prior to her position at Myers she taught at Chapman Hill and Washington Elementary. Mrs. Adams is a strong proponent for what is best for children. When she is not working with students and their families, she likes spending time their bulldogs, Maggie and Bo.

Be involved to help your child succeed... Do you want to be a hero to your
child? Here’s how: Visit school Research shows that children do better in school when parents participate. You can attend school programs, extracurricular activities, open houses and parent-teacher conferences to make a difference in your child’s success. Seek help If your child has a problem, don’t try to solve it on your own. Parents of successful students work with the school. You can meet with the teacher and other school staff who have relevant expertise to help better serve your child. Stay involved Parents need to stay involved in middle and high school when peer pressure mounts dramatically – and peer pressure is powerful. National studies show that parent influence still usually outweighs peer pressure at this age.
