Apply for a secondary in-district transfers MAR 1 – 31, 2018

Current fifth grade students (entering sixth grade in September) who want to attend a school other than their assigned school next fall (2018-19 school year) must apply for in-district transfer (IDT) between March 1 and March 31, 2018.

IDT applications received after March 31, 2018, will not be considered.

ID request forms can be picked up at any middle school office, and must be completed and returned to the student’s assigned middle school during the application date window. There is no guarantee a transfer request will be approved. Students attending school on an IDT are not eligible for bus transportation. The elementary school offices do not have the ID request form.

More information on the in-district transfer process can be found on the Student Transfers page on the district website, http://www.salemkeizer.org/parents/student-transfers.

Competition will begin this week on the 17th.  See the schedule posted on the OBOB bulletin board in the library.  Please note that all battles will take place in room 116.  The door will close at 12:00 when the first battle begins and open again at 12:20 to allow for the next round of students to enter.  Family is welcome to attend, however once the door is closed and the battle has begun, the door will not be opened until the next battle.  (This rule is based on the rules in place for the Regional and State Competition).   Please have your students continue to read and study the OBOB books.  Thank you all for your continued support of the Oregon Battle of the Books.
